When does a healthcare power of attorney take effect?
Generally, when a person can no longer make or communicate their own healthcare decisions, as determined under the terms of the document. Until then, your loved one keeps full say over their own care, and we help protect that too.
What if my parent already named a family member?

Does Medicare or insurance cover this?
